Upcoming mid-ranger from HTC - One X9
Weibo update has thrown some light upon the looks and specs of the new smartphone HTC is about to release at the beginning of next year. HTC One X9 will be targeting the mid-range market, while the more sophisticated HTC One M10 will go head to head with flagships like Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6S. The One X9 images you see below are sourced from Weibo update.
In our opinion the device reminds Huawei smartphones a lot, like Nexus 6P for example. We tend to think that such a design in all-metal body could really play in favor of One X9 and make it stand out among other players in mid-range segment.
Overall the acquired data portrays the smartphone less of a powerhouse that it was expected to be according to the first rumors that appeared about it. The device will most likely come with a 5.5-inch IPS display and Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. Under the hood, the X9 is believed to come powered by an octa-core processor, running at 2.2 GHz. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset is rumored to be part of the device. In terms of the storage the newcomer is claimed to have a modest 2 GB of RAM alongside with 16 GB of initial storage capacity, which is going to be an option for expansion up to 1 TB.
The gadget is probable to feature a decent 13mp rear-facing sensor and a 5mp one in the front for selfies. Furthermore, a 3,000 mAh battery will back the handset, which seems to be a reasonable choice in order to give users another advantage of long battery life. The gadget is going to support all major connectivity options like Bluetooth, USB, GPS, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, 4G LTE FDD and WCDMA. Software-wise, it’s advised to expect HTC One X9 to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow in all its glory.
We really felt like sharing the latest findings and rumors around this newcomer, but there is no official statement about it yet, so keep that in mind. As for the release date, it could land around February 2016.
