bad service and unable to use mobile data

Hey guys, I cannot use it! I put my sim in the CORRECT WAY and I was able to make one phone call, after that I had realised that I could not connect to my mobile data even after turning all the settings on to enable it. I left my phone off for a while and took the sim out, popped it back in after a few hours and the service kept dropping. I am not getting any good service with this phone and I am confused as to why. My sim card is only a few weeks old and it works perfectly in my iPhone X and all other phones I and my family have used. Why is the mobile data connection so slow and erratic and why does my z flip phone keep dropping calls? Is there a fault? the design is awesome. Before getting an andriod again, I had been an ios/iPhone user for 10 solid years and I got bored and bought the Z flip for a nice change. I really don't want to give it back, that's a long-winded process. I just want to be able to use my sim in my phone like I would in any other phone without any interruptions could you please help me? Thank you
