HTC press event Apr 12: The HTC One M10 round up so far

April 25, 2016 HTC New Launch News Rumours

The HTC 10 (One M10) has been making headlines on an almost daily basis, and the company is about to make it official. HTC has just announced it will be holding a press event on April 12.

The new HTC One M10 will feature the same display technology that powered its predecessor. In addition, the HTC One M10 will have 3,000-mAh battery under the hood for a long lasting usage.

Courtesy of @evleaks, we now have access to some of the specs and many other specifics of the upcoming flagship from HTC, including its commercial name: HTC One M10.

We expect that the new flagship will feature the AMOLED technology that was used in the HTC One. However, this is not likely to be the case. Moreover, @evleaks has revealed that the new phone might come with a Super LCD 5 panel, without mentioning the screen dimension of the phone. A previous report stated that we should expect to see a 5.15-inch Quad HD panel on the newest flagship.

The term, Super LCD is a marketing term from HTC. It denotes the smartphone will come with an anti-glare outer glass, a thinner panel, and improved clarity for viewing text on the smartphone.

Accordingly, there might be some improvement in the display of the new flagship because of its Super LCD 5 display as opposed to the Super LCD 3 on the One M9.

Unlike the 2,840-mAh unit inside the One M9, the HTC One M10 will feature a 3,000-mAh battery under the hood. Although this is an increase in capacity, it is a small increment from what we have seen previously. This means that this phone is likely to match the battery capacity of the S7 and be higher than the LG G5’s 2,800-mAh unit. However, the advantage that the G5 has over it is the replaceable battery.

IN addition to the above features, we expect the HTC One M10 to be powered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with Areno 530 GPU. In addition, we hope to see a 4GB RAM, a 12-megapix front facing camera, and a USB Type C on this smartphone.

Conclusion

There are already some excitements about the HTC One M10, and with the first, world class camera to be seen on a smartphone, the new flagship is expected to be announced in a few months from now. Make sure you subscribe to the Etoren blog to receive future updates of this phone.
