Huawei vs Moto 360 (2nd Generation)

It was in mid-2014 that the first few Android smart-watches were released. However, they looked more like more tiny screens strapped to your wrist then. These smart-watches have improved significantly over time.

In this article, we are going to look at two of the best looking Android watches, the Moto 360 2nd generation and the Huawei smart wear.

Design

Both watches have 42mm screen and are both round. As you probably know, the first thing you have to consider in smart watches is the design. If the design strikes your likeness, you go for it. And if it sucks, you are going to want to stay away from it.

The bezel design on both looked more like a real watch. Compared to other hand wrist devices, they are comfortable and light on the hand, as both do not house too much component outside the screen.

Main Body Build

The two smartwatches come in a stainless steel design.

Band Material

Both of them come in either stainless steel or leather bands. However, you can choose from different variants of steel bands. In addition, the two wear watches come with quick-release bands, similar to the Apple Watch, to add the convenience in swapping bands. You don’t have to jump on a trip to the jeweler or mess with pin to change the band on each of them.

Color

It is clear that each of these wear watches are available in different color variants so that everyone can go with their favorite colors. You can even pick from different colors for the Moto 360 casing and bezel if you buy from the company’s Moto Maker website.

Android Compatibility

Any Android smartphone running OS 4.3 or higher can easily work with either of the smartwatches.

Battery Life

In terms of battery lifecycle, both wear watches come close. If you put a moderate use on them, you should be loosing around 4%/hour. Neither of the Android smartwatchs have a clear victory as they can both stand a single day of use. And that means you can’t get two day of use with either. Also, you may have to charge them every night. And if you are a heavy user, the lifespan quoted here may be shorter.

Display Size

In terms of display sizes, the Moto 360 has a clear victory. It has the biggest screen compared to the Huawei smart-watch.
